Iran earthquake

The Iran earthquake measured at 6.3 magnitude and left one village completely destroyed, according to a Red Crescent official. The nearby Buschehr nuclear plant was undamaged, according to Iranian officials and the Russian company that built the plant.

The Iran earthquake was particularly devastating due to the fact that many houses in local rural areas are made of mud bricks that crumble easily during quakes. Fereydoun Hassanvad, the governor of Bushehr province, told Mehr news agency that around 700 homes were destroyed in the Iran earthquake.
